Flip the webinar: Female Leadership

Research has shown that women have a need for a greater diversity of female role models in their careers. Double Healix specializes in finding inspiring film images of female leaders. The images in the seminars, live trainings and online courses are aimed at supporting women in their professional development. Men can also benefit from studying female role models.

Why Female Leadership?

The webinar addresses the question of how we can support women in, or on the way to, leadership positions. Research has repeatedly shown that women need more female role models. We can therefore conclude that – regardless of whether there is such a thing as typical female leadership – women benefit from being able to view exemplary behavior of female leaders. This includes leadership in all shapes and positions.

Female role models can also inspire men wanting to improve their skills as a leader. It is also important that men and women work together in breaking oppressive patterns. As long as society is not yet balanced, we see it as our mission to show inspiring examples of female leadership.

What is Flip the Webinar?

Working and learning from home have gained momentum. For leadership training, this requires new ways of learning. The development of our online MovieLearning platform has progressed at a rapid pace and this gives us the opportunity to make webinars super effective and inspiring with what we call: Flip the Webinar.

Flip the Webinar is our concept for online-only or hybrid training. We enrich webinars with the Flip the Classroom principle. This means that our MovieLearning method is used prior to the Webinar: the participants receive an inspiring selection of movie clips, including descriptions, theory, questions and exercises, well in advance. For Female Leadership we use the course Ladies in the Lead (or parts of it).

What is Flip the Classroom?

Flip the Classroom means that the participants can study the theory and illustrative movie clips in advance at their own pace. This accommodates the different ways and speeds at which people learn. An additional advantage is that participants can watch the videos as many times as they need to be able to learn from them optimally, which is not possible in a regular live training.

What will you learn?

We then meet with the participants during the Webinar to discuss the movie clips, questions and exercises guided by one of our experienced leadership trainers. We focus on the specific practice of your team or organization.

Follow-up is important, just as with a physical training, to anchor what has been learned. In this way the investment of the training pays off with practical results.

The Double Healix model

The Double Healix Model offers a unique and integral vision for the development of leadership. Within this, there is focus on both the personal development of leaders, and the team, organisational, and societal context in which they operate. The model has three important components: phases, levels, and tension fields.

Had a great Double Healix in one day! The possibilities and inspiration are vibrating through me uncontrollably!
