A blended learning approach for team development

Incompany / Open registration

During the extensive in-company training, you will learn to clearly map the functioning of your team using the Double Healix model.The open registration is more of a taste test, that gives you the first tools to get started with your team. Both are about Team Phases, Team Roles, and Team Leadership; about how each team member can make an optimal contribution at the right time and help others at the same time.

Team role profile

During the in-company training, each team member receives an individual Team Role Profile that provides insight into personal strengths and development points. By combining the profiles of all team members, it becomes clear where the strengths and weaknesses of the team lie. Good synergy is revealed, but also potential causes for underperformance, and areas where results can be improved.

Online course

The online MovieLearning course “Becoming good team players” / “That’s Our Team” / “Proudly presenting our team” / “We’ve managed to become a fine team” / can be taken as an independent course, but is also part of the in-company training. The course contains clear film fragments of all Team phases, Team roles, and forms of Team Leadership, supplemented by questions and exercises to get started in practice. The combination of online learning and practical practice ensures long-term results.

Day 1: Team Phases

A team’s journey consists of different phases. Double Healix builds on the phases laid out by Bruce Tuckman. In the Double Healix Model, the team journey leads through the formation, storming, and normalisation phases… towards tests, the first success, setbacks and crises, rediscovering ideals, and being able to contribute in a refined manner.

Day 2: Team Roles

Prior to this day, each team member will complete a short questionnaire so that everyone has a Team Role Profile. These are superimposed during the training to gain insight into the Team Profile. Where are the strengths of the team and where could something, or someone, be missing? How can we explain existing tensions in the team? And what adjustments are needed to improve collaboration and results?

Day 3: Team Leadership

It is no longer the case that the formal leader of a team is the only one in charge. A good leader listens to all team members and allows everyone to have a say at the right time. How do you create a team dynamic that supports the best of each group member and makes the team a solid whole?
