Courageous Women

Research has shown that people have a desire for more female role models and sparring partners. In the live in-company Seminar and the online MovieLearning course, we offer many inspiring examples of female leadership. We do this using the 12 phases of leadership development as described in the Double Healix Model.

Courageous Women is a one-day incompany training to inspire women and men, learning from female examples.

The day is meant for both women and men:
For women who want to further develop their personal and/or formal leadership and for men who want to support this process and want to be inspired by female examples in their own leadership.

Learn from successful women

The number of female leaders is increasing. To celebrate this, Double Healix launched her online MovieLearning course Ladies in the Lead. We have already organized numerous seminars on Female Leadership, which have been received with great enthusiasm, including the major Female Leadership event in the EYE film museum Amsterdam.

The seminar addresses the question of how we can support women in, or on the way to, leadership positions. Research has repeatedly shown that women need more female role models. We can therefore conclude that – regardless of whether there is such a thing as typical female leadership – women benefit from being able to view and analyze exemplary behavior of female leaders. This involves leadership in all kinds of forms and functions.

What lessons can we learn from female leaders? What does the “imposter syndrome” look like? And how, for example, did Katharine Graham rise above this as CEO of the Washington Post? How does the journey to leadership actually go and which stages can we recognize in it?  Which competencies are required?

Female role models can also inspire male leaders. It is important that men and women work together in breaking oppressive patterns. As long as society is not yet in balance, we see it as our mission to show inspiring examples of female leadership.

Do you want to gain inspiration together with others and take your leadership to a higher level? Do you want to learn for a whole day on the basis of the Double Healix Leadership Model and the most beautiful and educational movie scenes about female leadership?
