Lucas is a family man, IT expert, sports enthusiast, basketball coach and CTO of MovieLearning. In the mid-1990s he moved from his native island of Curaçao to the Netherlands to study Information Engineering at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. Parallel to his studies he started his own IT company. He works on IT projects for clients both domestic and abroad.

Lucas is a great sports fan both active and along the line in coaching. He plays basketball and golf and dives at beautiful and exciting dive sites. As a coach he has been active in basketball for years. He distinguishes himself mainly through his positive coaching and has experienced various successes at national and international level.

In 2011 Lucas came into contact with Double Healix and the impact on him was enormous. The cyclicity in thinking, the paradoxes so beautifully set out and the richness of the journey of the 12 phases and thereby working with and learning from image fragments have had a great inspiring effect on him. He himself specializes in images from sports and is always looking for fragments that can serve as a metaphor for life.

The passion for Double Healix has continued with the Double Healix annual training. Lucas has been working as CIO of Double Healix / Movie Learning since 2013.
